Classes are grouped by instrument. Find your child's instrument below to see what time(s) their class will be offered during each session.

Session 1 will meet weekdays from Monday, June 9 to Tuesday, June 24. Session 2 will meet weekdays from Monday, July 7 through Tuesday, July 22. Each small group class will meet for 12 consecutive weekdays. The registration fee for the beginning band program is $100. The class fee is waived for students who qualify for the Music Connects program.

ALL SUMMER BAND CLASSES WILL BE HELD AT OAK RIDGE MIDDLE SCHOOL.

Monday, June 9th – Friday, June 20th

The Linn-Mar Band staff is offering summer concert band (current grades 5-8) and jazz band programs (current grades 6-8).

Camps meet daily (M-F) June 9-June 20 at Oak Ridge Middle School (4901 Alburnett Road, Marion).

The enrollment fee for one camp is $75; the fee for participating in both Concert Band and Jazz Band is $112.50 (buy one, get the second half off!)

Camp schedule:
8-8:50 a.m.: Intermediate Concert Band (for current 5th graders)
9-9:50 a.m.: Intermediate & Advanced Jazz Bands (open to current 6th-8th graders) Students will be sorted into experience-based big bands and/or combos. All current 6th graders will be in the intermediate group; all current 8th graders will be in the advanced group; 7th graders will be split based on experience and instrumentation.
10-10:50 a.m.: Advanced Concert Band (open to current 6th, 7th, and 8th graders)

Once the camp registration has closed, you will receive an email confirmation from your summer band camp instructor.

Monday, June 9th – Thursday, July 3rd

The Linn-Mar Band staff offers a FOUR WEEK summer private lesson program at Oak Ridge Middle School (4901 Alburnett Road, Marion).

Students receive a 20-minute lesson once a week for four weeks (June 9rd - July 3rd). The fee for the private lesson program is $72.

Lessons will be offered Monday-Thursday. Please provide preferred day/time options and we will do our best to schedule a time according to your request. 

You will receive an email confirmation from your summer lesson instructor at the end of May that will include the specific day and time for your weekly lesson.
